In the Working Groups Microbiology and Chemistry the current issues in the investigative practice in the dairy industry are handled and new procedures and methods are tested for their applicability. At varied time intervals, the institutions collaborating within the VDLUFA section VII Milk execute ring tests on milk and milk products to achieve a uniform orientation of the application of methods. This also ensures that existing methods are regularly updated and new methods are tested for their safe application (VDLUFA Methods Book VI “Chemical, Physical and Microbiological Test Methods for Milk, Milk Products and Dairy Adjuvants.”)
